We've never been to the moon eventhough we can bounce lasers off reflecters we put there to measure it's distance for calibrating. No, those things magically appeared there.

Those reflectors were put there by aliens. The U.S. uncovered ancient Mayan history that informed them of this. Then, they covered it up so they could use it as proof we were there. Get it? Got it. Good!

Oh god fucking dammit. I flipped off one of their commercials last night. And one for Zales. Jewelry commercials make me want to hurl. Diamonds... that'll shut 'er up. (For a minute...) This post has been edited by Spectatrix: May 1 2007, 07:40 AM -------------------- |

so diamonds won't shut you up? heh I think diamonds are overpriced and not particularly attractive. I have a grand total of three pieces of jewelry that I like: a sapphire necklace that my step-father got for me when I was little, an emerald necklace that I bought myself, and a hematite bracelet that I got as a Christmas gift. Well, maybe a nice sword or dagger, but that's more likely to make me squeal with fangirlish glee, not shut me up. Now I am into *useful* expensive stuff, like computer hardware and flat panel HDTVs, but who *doesn't* get goosebumps over stuff like that? And yes, I'm well aware that such tastes would actually make me *more* high-maintenance that the typical girly girl, but it's not like I expect gifts like that anyways. -------------------- |

I have a fondness for *some* weapons, not just J. Random sword. But yes, I do love me some electronics. Just the other day, for instance, I was drooling over this baby: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16819115011. Never mind the fact that the increased performance probably isn't worth the price premium and even a dual-core chip is probably above and beyond my processing power needs, it's still a beautiful thing.

QUOTE 15. Apollo Moon Landing Hoax (1969)You're aware that we never landed on the moon, right? It was all just an elaborate hoax designed to score Cold War points for the United States against the Soviet Union in a world of falling dominoes. The whole lunar landing thing? It was a video staged at movie studios and top-secret locations. Okay, you can stop laughing now, but some sites, such as Apollo Reality and Moon Landing, still insist that the Eagle never landed. Of course, enemies of Flat Earthism will point to the Rocket and Space Technology site, which does an in-depth job of debunking the hoax. But true disbelievers should check out this terrific video spoof, complete with outtakes showing lights and cameras. http://news.yahoo.com/s/pcworld/20070503/tc_pcworld/131340 The Top 25 Web Hoaxes and Pranks |

Wow, that debunking the hoax site is pretty fucking hardcore. It was an awesome read, and I have to say that he's convinced me. Man, that's cool stuff. The moon is pretty far away, and shit. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.
