So I live in an apartment complex and have been here since early January. I have not been receiving my mail for ~2 weeks. I know for a fact I havent been receiving it and i just dont have any mail because I have been expecting my taxes from my father, some bills, my regular magazine subscription, and there has never been more than two days I did not receive something in the mail.
So what the fuck right?
Ive talked to my office and the girl apologies and says thats crazy but no they dont take up the mail if the box is too full and dont store mail in their office.
I've talk to my local post office and another post office and they both say that they don't have all my mail. and if it was picked up because the box was full they would have left a note. I was also suppose to finally receive a call from my local postman but no he didn't call me.

What the fuck can I do about my taxes?
This is illegal right? No one can mess with my mail?

Plans of action:
take another trip to my apt office of course and explain to the person thats in there (hopefully someone different).
Go to my local post office again. Ask WTF

I'm planning on already telling my apartment complex that I think someone has possibly been taking my mail. Just so MAYBE they will try to do something if there is anything to be done

Most likely what happened:
Post office employees are retarded and they should start killing each other again
My mail is sitting in a corner in the office

as far as the taxes go, you need to do that shit asap. file a form 4868 (http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/f4868.pdf) to ask for an extension of up to 6 months. i don't know how to do any of that online, but you should probably find out pretty quickly.

hopefully your dad made copies of all your tax stuff.

for the mail, file a formal complaint with the post office online. threaten the apartment complex if they don't figure out what the fuck has been going on. let them know that you'd be more than happy to deduct any tax or other bill penalties from your next rent check because it was their fault.

Call the United States Postal Inspectors. I've dealt with them before for a similar problem and they are very, very serious about their shit.
