I was looking on the Dell website and the 22" E228WFP widescreen monitor is on sale for $279 while the 20.1" 2007WFP is on sale for $359. Is the 2007WFP just a newer monitor, hence the upped price?

just at a glance:
E228WFP = 5ms response 2007WFP = 17ms response to me that indicates it's a completely different panel, obviously a cheaper one. the 2007WFP looks like it has more inputs (s-video and composite), and has picture in picture. probably just personal preference, but my guess is the E228 is a better monitor, and that the 2007WFP is a junk panel that they crammed a bunch of accessories into. personally if I'm buying a widescreen monitor that's that big, I'd rather it be 1920x1200 than 1680x1050. on that note... man that 2407WFP looks peachy |

So basically they bumped the price because of "better" features at the cost of a crappier panel? Where did you find a 1920x1200 22"? I'd be interested in that as well. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

yeah, if you're upgrading monitors, and especially if you're going widescreen, there's absolutely zero reason to settle for less than 1920x1200
for the 1080p goodness. -------------------- WAIT. I'm not finished.

So I think I may get the 24". In the long run it seems to make more sense for the money. Now I just gotta figure out where I will put it.
