I'm sure I'm not the only bad eater on here. I'm just curious what other people's bad habits are. Hell it might even help us to know what other habits people have.

Mine tend to be salty stuff like chips. Just like anything they're not all bad in moderation, my prob is I grab a bag and watch a movie or somethin, then half way through reach down to grab the bottom of the bag sad.gif . I'm not that hungry, just not really paying attention.

Other thing is eating out... we eat out for lunch pretty much every day... and lots of times it's easy to just grab somethin on the way home too.

My only easy thing to push away that lots of people have probs with is sugar... I don't have much of a sweet tooth. lack of ice cream/chocolate/sugary drinks is no big deal to me.

I like Salt & Vinegar chips and french fries. I don't eat either of them very often, but I love 'em.

i only eat crappy foods when i dine out, which is way too often.

breakfast is always the healthiest meal (healthy cereal or oatmeal or yogurt) because it's at home, but lunch and dinner always rotate between fast food/restaurant/home.

i don't have a dishwasher, so i've been buying paper plates and plastic utensils to encourage myself to eat at home without having to deal with that huge pain in the ass

Fast food when I am poor. I eat on campus often, because I work at the market, that food can either be good, bad or somewhere in between.

A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?

I eat out too much, but at least it's mostly healthy stuff like vegetables and tofu with rice vermicelli from the nearby Vietnamese place.

I've been drinking and eating too much fast food. I'm tired of it.

My biggest ingulgences have been :

- Texas Double Whoppers
- Taco Bell chalupas, beef and tato burritos
- PIZZA

Blah.

I should just start eating nothing but liquid meals, and then a pound of raw meat a day.

i'm sure so many people are going to be "omg that's so bad, you're fucked up blah blah blah" but i have a solution.

I'll go out and eat badly. then i'll come home and purge.

only when i eat big greasy fatty meals because i feel bad (stomache wise) and i don't want to acutally digest it all.

so i get all the flavor with just a little of the fat

fuck you, bulemia isn't that bad

my biggest bad eating habit is eating out too often but i will typically try to go to places where i know i can get moderately healthier menu choices. i generally eat 1 large meal a day and then just a small or two small other meals. im trying to get into a better schedule habit about that. and my 1 large meal is typically pretty large (restaurant portions). i never eat fast food. for the most part working out takes care of whatever

im starting to eat more crap so ive got to buckle down somewhere

im also trying to cut down on my salt intake

i dont eat much sugar so thats not an area i think about. every so often ill get a sugar craving and share a dessert or get a cookie from the grocery store

inconsistancy is prolly something i've got issues with. i don't get "hungry" often. i usually eat once a day, lately i have been able to eat a 2nd time a day, usually left overs or something, and it varies in time. if i'm working a double, i may skip eating that day all together, and only have a liter of dr pepper. when i do eat, i don't eat very much either. most people i know can out eat me. i think my fat-assery comes more from lack of exercise than it is from the food i eat. but i know my metabolism is all wacked out.

eatting out WAY WAY WAY too much...to the tune of $500+ a month..yeah thats bad and doesnt count the meals the bf pays for...blah thats way way too much

The main problem is that I get severe cravings for whatever I want at the time (the bf calls me either pregnant or a stoner because of it! of which im neither...its bad) it also doesnt help me lose weight either. If i dont get what I want i get pissy....very very pissy...not cool.

The cure to not eating or worrying about what you eat is working 12 hour night shifts! Woo. :-( I eat maybe one meal a day now and even then, I am forcing myself. Night shifts make your body cry...

My problem is that right now i have no groceries, so i can't cook healthy. And im busy with my finals coming up that i haven't had time to go get good food, so i just settle for fast food... which just makes me feel gross when i eat it more than once a week.

I also eat fast food way more than I should. I probably drink beer almost every weekend and occasionally during the week. Not to get drunk, but to enhance the meal. I've tried switching to light beer, but it just isn't as satisfying. I think the only thing keeping me from becoming 300 lbs is the fact I walk to class from my apartment twice a day which totals something like 3 miles a day.

heheh yeah beware, i was the same way... ate bad in college and gained x amount of weight. well after getting out of school and into my job sitting at my desk and not walking a couple of miles or so to class every day, i gained 2x amount of weight sad.gif

basically:
Freshman year 1998- (250lbs): a little overweight but I'm tall and was in pretty good shape. coming off my sr year where my buddies and I would play bball every day for several hours, also my classes were all the way across campus, i had marching band practice every day, and i went to the rec to play ball all the time too. was an RA so had all kinds of activities there, etc. stopped growing (upward anyhow tongue.gif)

~2002- (300lbs): done with band (did 4 years), less class, less walking, moved off campus, more concentration on school, less on extra-curricular stuff. still a decent amount of walking from classes, some working out. at one point i'd lost down to about 280lbs, but gained it all back.

2004-now (350lbs): graduated, got a job where i sit at a desk all day. tired from work when i get home so fast food is easy. eat out with work people pretty much every day for lunch. on/off dieting/working out.

not using working a desk job as an excuse, just a warning and explanation... it gets worse after college wink.gif just keep that in mind on graduation day (i wish i had). i'll get back at it soon.

I didn't really pay attention to my weight early on in college, but I know I'm now at the lowest weight I've been in a long time. When I transferred to Tech in summer 2003, I weighed about 180 lbs. Over the summer I was biking to and from campus (about 3 miles round trip), eating less, drinking water instead of soda, and I got down to about 150 lbs. I gained back about 5 lbs, but I lost 15 a couple of months ago and am now at about 140.

I eat like one, two meals tops a day and they are usually healthy. Usually.

Salads are good as long as you don't drown them in toppings and shit.

you need to eat twice that many times. try it, you'll lose more weight; ups your metabolism. eating only a couple times a day tricks your body into starvation mode, and it keeps the weight stockpiled.

when I want to gain weight, I eat two huge mongo meals of anything I want (lunch and dinner). when I want to cut, I eat breakfast of fruit, 10:30ish small meal, 1:00ish small meal, and a nice dinner. all healthy lean stuff.

I weigh 115 because I hardly ever eat.... multiple reasons for that, but none having to do with self image issues.

115 is kinda lean for someone who is 5'8. I dont know.... I need to gain a few

I bet I eat at least as much as chuck ... I probably take in ~5,000 calories a day.

I could really afford to cut that by about 1500 but I can't stop eating fast food sad.gif

I usually eat only 1 meal a day. Really terrible because I'm usually starving the whole day. I gorge myself and hurt from eating too much or I don't get enough and end up being hungry the rest of the day. It also really puts a hurting on my digestive system.
