It absolutley amazes me what an elitist and monumentally stupid bitch barbara streisand is.

I mean fucking seriously, Democrats are not going to save the planet. Really. They're not.

Fucking stupid.

anyways.

She has some pull... It's sad. People do listen to what they have to say because they're celebrities.

yeah and one dude called her out on it, another threw a drink at her. somehow i doubt they were the only ones that felt that way. they paid $750 to listen to her sing, i bet most could give two shits about her political views. lets see barbara striesand hold a political speech and see how many pay $750 a pop to come listen.

yes, because they're celebs, people will listen to what they say, but it doesn't mean they have any damn power to change anything.

No one can save this country or the planet. The two party system is washed up and useless... we are all doomed

i admit, i hate barbara myself but there's something that i find hypocritical when people criticize celebrities for voicing their opinions

it usually is some version of this:

"fucking [celebrity name here] doesn't know what the fuck he's talking about! He thinks he knows all the answers and how to solve the problem! but what I think we should do is [regurgitated answer]."

because you're absolutely right. It is wrong for a celebrity to have opinions and even worse for them to voice them. just as people are allowed to spend their money how they want, they are also allowed to spend their fame on what matters to them.

Criticizing a celebrity for voicing their opinion on a political matter is pretty popular, but is there a huge difference between that and contributing to a philanthropy with an outspoken political or social justice mission?

Also, celebrities may be rich and famous but they are still American citizens, they have a right to free speech...
