it's still very beta and stuff, but apparently microsoft sent special vans around seattle and san francisco and took pictures at peoples-eye views, you can like drive your view and shite all over the map. Hard to explain, but fun to play around with.

Google and Yahoo have done something similar... Gotta find the website. I think Yahoo is still doing it and their vans are brightly marked.

i read a few months ago that google had vans goin around large citys getting pics so it can be tossed into the 3d renderings of google maps.

i'll have to look around for the article

never said it didn't.

just making sure they know its not streaming [video] but rather just tiles loaded every few "feet"
