Dad wants me to take a job at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ. I'd rather try the mcat thing and try to get in to med school, but he is being presistant. This sucks cause he lets the other kids fuck around on his dollar, and want me to be all sucessful. What would you do in this situation?

being a fellow EE major, i'd take the job at raytheon because i personally (from what little past experiences ive had) enjoy engineering field work.
I thought about trying to get into a law school to study patent law, but as of right now I dont think that I'll do it because I think EE field work is more interesting. In the end, do what you want. Are you going into med school to eventually lead into the biotechnology sector or too be an actual practicing M.D. or radiologist or whatever? --------------------  A government big enough to give you everything you want is a government big enough to take from you everything you have. |

sticky situation chuck. in the end do what you really feel like you want to do you just got to get over feeling obligated to follow your fathers wishes.
if i were you id take the mcat. it takes months to get your test results back so in that time apply for the job. at least youll get a feeling for how well you did. once you get your results apply to med schools whether you have the weapons job or not. if you get accepted to one youd like to attend thats when you really got to start thinking what you want to do. maybe by that time and maybe already knowing a bit more about that raytheon job youll get more of a feeling which path youd like to follow. also maybe once your dad hears you got accepted to a med school hed be cool with it -------------------- Little monkeys making money
