So I'm being forced to use a Mac because that's the only computer at my uncle's house
It's actually really easy to use. It took a whopping 10 minutes to figure out where everything is on here. And it's a lot more organized than Windows. Maybe people should actually take the time to actually learn how to use Macs before whining like a little bitch about how much they suck. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

I must admit I'm pretty happy with my Mac laptop. I grew up using both PCs (at home) and Macs (at my dad), so I was never particularly prejudiced against Macs.

I like them, but they lack software and don't like that it is hard to get it customized. Other than that they are really good machines.

lol you've been one of the biggest anti-mac guys over the years Don't get me wrong. I still think the Apple clientele are collectively a bunch of elitist turds Their machines justdon't suck quite as badas expected cept for the keyboard. Too small and the spacebar sucks and it looks like a stoners' college art project gone terribly wrong. -------------------- ![]() ![]() |

the problem with macs is they're way too expensive, why would i pay an extra thousand for a machine with specs from the 90s?

I honestly hate the argument that Macs are too expensive. My friend has an old Powerbook and he was able to upgrade it to OS X Leopard....that's not something you could do with a Windows computer. If I tried to upgrade my PC to Vista it would probably catch on fire. Sure you can get a Windows laptop for DIRT CHEAP, but honestly how long does it last?

I agree (although ive had a bunch of friends have mac laptops die after 2 years)Desktops... couldnt disagree with you more. I know I could throw Vista on my desktop that is 4 years old anytime I want. Yeah, Ive upgraded the RAM and added a hard drive, but Im still running the same Pentium 4 processor and some weird motherboard that its had since I built the thing. I just fucking hate the stupidness of the minimizing system on MACS.... too tired to explain what I mean. |

the problem with macs is they're way too expensive, why would i pay an extra thousand for a machine with specs from the 90s? I'd disagree. Their laptops are pretty good deals, but they just don't make any cheap laptops. As for the iMac, if you look at things from a perspective of price to specifications, well yeah, they're a pretty crappy deal. On the other hand, how many computer users really NEED to have the highest end processor or video cards? Moreover, what percentage of average computer users will know the difference between a 2 Ghz Core 2 Duo and a 2.2? Most computer users are willing to pay more for features they can actually see and feel like compactness, aesthetic quality, and ease of use. For the Mac Pro, I'd agree with you unless you actually need a configuration that has two quad-core procs. -------------------- Holy shit, pebkac, you're awesome! The machines are all the same now. There's not really a "Mac vs PC" debate anymore. It's a OSX vs Windows debate.
Not to mention every computer maker out there has a slim/compact setup now. Other than the OS there's nothing that Mac has different than any other PCs, except a higher price. |

If they'd make the damn OS stable enough to use on any PC I'd buy it and give it a shot. But oh yeah then they can't sell me a $1200 PC for $2500.
