No, I mean it would be pointless to be able to create a PDF if you couldn't read it.
I have installed the basic Adobe reader, and I have both an "Adobe PDF" menu in Word, as well as Adobe PDF as a printer option. Every Adobe Reader I've installed since forever ago puts installs the "Adobe PDF" printer. When I go to the printers control panel it shows "Adobe PDF" as an available printer. Perhaps those who can't figure it out need to have their hand held w/the Mac. |

if you get the pro edition, it puts a "save to pdf" option in microsoft word.
i just downloaded the torrent and got it that way

My bad, I didn't realize that Fruity Loops was an actual app.
I've had the same experience as Hartmann on PDFs. I've had "print to PDF" as an option with Adobe Pro, but never Adobe Reader. Maybe it requires a higher version of Word to work? I have Adobe Reader 8 here, but only Word 2003. On the side of lameness, it looks like upgrading my hard drive myself would void my warranty? Anyone know if an Apple-authorized tech would install a 3rd party HDD or if they'd insist on an Apple-branded one? -------------------- |

i just downloaded reader on windows, and got the printer.
maybe it's cause i uninstalled the full version to do it, and it just stayed around. there are plenty of ways to make pdfs though. in both os. -------------------- Don't sweat the petty, pet the sweaty.

I would use your Mac account and peruse the Apple Support forums and maybe pose the question there. Well, the 120GB drive I have will suit me for now. If I really find myself in a crunch for more space, I can always get an external drive. By the time my warranty is up (3 years, I got AppleCare) I'll probably be wanting a new comp anyway.

Yeah, laptop. Macbook Pro, 120GB HDD, 2.2GHz Intel Core 2 Duo. Almost got the upgraded one w/ 140GB and 2.4 gigs, but I decided that bit of boost wasn't worth the extra 500 bucks.
