well thats why i said suburbs... i've been in and around the actual city quite a bit the past few months, and would never want to live in or near downtown, or probably anywhere inside 610 for that matter. it's just too crowded and not enough conveniences. the suburbs are friggin awesome though.

i do agree the suburbs are really nice in houston if you want a more relaxed atmosphere or have a family

I know I am a freakshow...but, having lived all over the place...

I would rather live in lubbock than any place in texas. yikes! but hey, you can at least go skiing every weekend in winter and not blow your whole check on rent.

before anyone says anything, I did my internship in houston (compaq) and my first job was in austin (NI). and I've lived in dallas for several years.

I like the people and weather better too. traffic, humidity and blazing hot nights suck ass.
