I really am curious My Mac does but my old Linux setups never had Tahoma. I just looked up to see if Ubuntu does have it by default, doesn't look like it. ubuntu's big hardon is that absolutely EVERYTHING in it is totally open source and GPL compliant. Royalties unto no one.
