You have to remember that the majority of people in america are christians, so it makes sense that most atheists probably grew up in a christian home at one point and may hold some animosity toward the christian faith. There are both strong and weak atheists. Some atheists feel it to be their duty to proove that god does not exist and christians are full of shit. i think it's funny how it's perfectly ok for christians and other groups to harrass and pester athiests, but when it happens the other way, all hell breaks lose with them. you bug and nag and constantly attack someone elses beliefs, (and no matter what you might try to say otherwise impala, athiesm IS their belief) it's only natural that they are gonna have animosity towards you and lash back
