Leach leaves, then he leaves. if he stays, i will laugh because showing interest in something doesnt mean its gonna happen

how about, showing interest, meeting with the miami athletic director & def coordinator, then flying his agent out from minnesota to join the meeting?

well if this was such a real possibility, somehow I think there would have been something on ESPN about it by this point in time. so far everything I have read about it, is from news sources that I havent heard of before or the DT

It's being reported by the Lubbock AJ, the Miami Herald, Fort Worth Star Telegram, Red Raider Sports, CaneSports, etc.

Leach has said that he has not been offered by Miami but, when asked if he was a candidate, he responded, "It's hard to say."

why would espn report it? nothing is for sure and an "interest" doesnt mean shit to them

this is like the 2000 election. lets not get ahead of ourselves
once Leach is offered something and he takes it or denies it, then we can celebrate or boo.

i know this thread exists to inform us that something might go down in the future.

but i dont think have anything but speculation and preditions

Plus, it might be bad for Leach to do anything until after the bowl season. who knows

i dont know if they'd offer it to him. i mean most of the country thinks his offense is "gimmicky" (even though most people around tech think he's a genius).

he'd be dumb NOT to take it, but maybe he likes it here and it's a better place for his family...rather than Miami where half the team is in a gang and 2 players were shot and killed this season (2, right?)

there's lots of people in football all over the country that are intrigued by leach's offense. even some NFL coaches have taken interest. but what's appealing about leach is the kind of record he's put together at tech with absolute crap recruits. he takes low rated players and squeezes every TD he can out of em, and that's why he'll be a sought after coach.

he's be stupid to take it.
his 7-5 seasons aren't going to fly at miami. too much pressure
plus miami is a stepping stone job. larry coker was there 6 years and that's the longest a coach has been there in a while.
besides, leach has a hard time controlling the discipline here, i can only imagine what would happen at miami.

he'd get a 500k buyout plus no doubt some increase over what he currently makes. he'd live in florida instead of lubbock. he'd be in a much higher profile job, with light-years better recruits. dunno how he'd be "stupid" to take the job.
