So if you don't know Tech is playing Minnesota in the Insight Bowl. It's Dec 29th on the NFL Network.

What are y'alls reactions? Are you going to the game?

I think this is bad for Tech, from what I can tell there is very little excitement from fans and this game could have a low turnout based on the location.

I think we will beat Minnesota since they have one of the worst D-IA pass defenses(maybe dead last) and we will pick their secondary apart. Minnesota is 6-6 with loses to 4 ranked teams: Cal, Michigan, tOSU, and Wisconsin. Their only other losses are to Penn State and Purdue.

I'm predicting 35-14 TTU

we'll tear them a new asshole
prob more like 40s-50s at least for us.

we were 2 TDs away from going to the big 12 championship, now we're going to the shit bowl in the desert. this is pretty much the only bowl i hoped we wouldn't get. the only way i'll go to this bowl is if i can get lucky enough (the word miracle comes to mind) to have my company send us out to our tempe, az office that weekend for a "visit".

Yes but, to be fair, we were also three plays away from being 4-8.

i spent ten minutes trying to figure out how this is possible and i still can't.

OU was 7-1, tech was 4-4. two td's during the OU game would have won it and made the standings OU 6-2 Tech 5-3. still wouldn't be going to the Big 12 championship then.

even if you got creative and started divvying up 14 points any way you want (giving two points to aggy against OU, giving 7 to OKstate against OU, and giving TTU the remaining 5 against UT) would still mean equal 5-3 conference records with OU winning the tiebreaker. still no big 12 championship.

what the hell are you talking about?

one touchdown beats OU, One touchdown beats UT....

Is what he was refering to i believe (discounting the fact that at end of UT game they were running time out and would have just scored again anyway)

UT 35 - 31 = 4
OU 34 - 24 = 10

4+10 = 14

we win those:

TTU = 6-2
OU = 6-2
UT = 5-3

tech wins south

i didn't really mean it literally. i was just expressing how close the games were.

i dont know what the fuck yall are arguing about!

two touchdowns away from big 12 champs.....
how about 4 wins away from champs....

we lost and we deserved to lose in many situations. we suck it up in Norman. we let OSU score too many points in Lubbock, but won thank god. we came close to losing against UTEP. TCU beat us and they are in a shittier bowl.

I was hoping Sun Bowl but we got Insight. I knew after Texas lost to A&M, we didnt really have a chance for Alamo. Actually, I think we deserve Sun Bowl more, but I cant argue too much.

The only reason we will beat Minnesota is because all teams in the Big Ten, outside Ohio State and Michigan, dont have high powered offensesthi year. Wisconsin might be good and scored alot of points, but the only opponent they faced was Michigan. Wisconsin should have faced off with Ohio State. I wish we would play Purdue instead of Minnesota.

Texas Tech should fucking beat Minnesota like they beat Clemson in 2002. On paper, this game isn't even close.

The Gophers boast the 112th-best defense in the NCAA and sport one of the worst pass defenses (115 of 119) in the country. Their offense is ranked around 45.

The ONE team that Minnesota beat that currently has a winning record is Division 1AA North Dakota State. Oh, and they only beat them by one point.

The Gophers beat two teams, Kent and Iowa, with 6-6 records.
