guess i should specify why the trip is happening the GF is a lawyer in Oklahoma. . . wanting to move back to Texas she is taking the Texas Bar the days before we go, so the trip is mainly so she can relax and get her mind off the test after she is done she finishes at 5pm in Arlington, so we would leave after that, or catch a red eye the next morning. . . then on monday morning at like 8 i have to head out to a work conference so trying to cram in as much as we can in those 3.5 days you can cram alot with 12 prostitutes... -------------------- |

I think the Keys is a great way to relax and just have fun.
You can go to the beach, go on boat rides, enjoy fine dining, and shop. |

Not sure if you meant Thursday-Sun as in this weekend or later. Next shuttle launch is on July 11th. I'd love to go see one. Only a handful more left.

Oh man, Cape Canaveral is a lot of fun...I missed a shuttle launch there by a couple of days. I did get a tour of the NASA station there, though. God it was fun.
IMO, I think Disney World is the perfect place to take a girl to have some fun. It really brings out the kid side in people. That's just me though. |

OOO Hilton Head is AWESOME! We drove up there once because it's only an hour from where we live.

I'd probably do Napa Valley if the above choices were all I had. The Keys and Miami both suck, while the beaches off the coast of Tampa are pristine. Vegas gets old real quick (for me at least). The Portland/Northern California area is extremely nice as well. I'm headed to Portland later in July to take in the cooler temperatures, awesome food and breweries, and great scenery. You could also do Belize or Costa Rica for that amount. Hmm... I'm going to Portland later in July as well.... -------------------- ![]() |

I just got back from a short trip. We spent the weekend at a beach house on Surfside Beach (south of Houston, near Freeport).

Portland and Santiago, Chile (unless work interferes) will be my two summer vacations. I just got back from a short trip. We spent the weekend at a beach house on Surfside Beach (south of Houston, near Freeport). Easily the best beach close to Houston. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |
