It probably didn't help that I did about 15 min on the elliptical beforehand. Cardio AFTER strength training... lol.
Did stronglifts 5x5 + 20 min elliptical today. Switched to box squats to force myself to do deeper squats (I've been cheating myself on depth). And I think I'm going to try out renegade rows on my next 5x5... any experience with those? -------------------- |

Wow, it's amazing the changes that even a mere week of dedicated working out have wrought. "Muffin top" is pretty much gone, belly fat is shrinking, arms and legs are firmer.

I'd say 135, but I doubt that's realistic with muscle gain, so probably 145 or so? For reference, I'm about 5'8".

What you can do is go get caliper or dunk tested for fat % then calculate from there. If you get your lean body mass then you can figure out via desired fat % to get your goal. Muscle gain can make a difference but probably not that much in your case (it's not like you're going to put on 10 lbs of muscle between now and 145. I think women generally shoot for what, like 15-20%? Someone correct me if I'm wrong (as if I really have to say that one here
Just don't put all your goals on the scale. Clothes fit is probably the easiest, most reliable thing to watch. |

Haven't had a caliper test in a while and I know the last one was inaccurate (18% - yeah right!), but I do have a scale that electronically measures composition. Not 100% accurate, but should give me a rough idea. Right now I'm probably at mid-high 20s. Ideally I'd like to get to 15%, 16-18 is probably more realistic. -------------------- |
