Owed $400-something this year. Would've gotten just about all taxes back next year if the homebuyer incentive passed, but looks like it's been stripped from the stimulus package. *shrugs*

If tax liabilities were based on levels of irresponsibility, you could fund the American stimulus package all by yourself.

Still waiting on tax forms. Laws changed for the 1099 which pushed deadline 2 weeks until Feb 15th.

The big hit to my taxes this year was my IRA conversion from traditional (rolled over 401k from last job) to Roth. That was a couple of extra k I had to pay taxes on. Otherwise I would've owed about $100.

My wife did not work 8 months last year due to my job moving us to several places (and paying for "living" expenses) so I paid taxes on two incomes even though we only had one.
