If you don't, there is no point wasting time and money in college when you can be making money to go to college in the future AND POSSIBLY NOT HAVE TO TAKE OUT LOANS. I never said pick a useless degree to go get. Yeah, you're right, if you get a degree in underwater basketweaving just like every other person does it's not gonna matter much, but if you get a valuable degree then go to work right out of college you'll more than likley double your starting salary by the time you're even remotley ready to settle down in life. Makes things a lot easier than dangling around until you're 30 trying to figure out "What I wanna be when I grow up".

I brought it up because I remember Jim being a EE. And tell your fiance to get a working job part time, even if its not great. Any job experience will help in an interview/on the real job. There have been engineers I work with who have no people skills and just did school work in college. Like we all have to pick useful degrees to major in when we start college. If everyone went that route, we wouldn't have hotel managers, psychologists, etc. We have to be happy with the choice we have made. I like that I chose print journalism. I want to be a writer for either a magazine or a news station or even an online news agency. I don't want to write for a newspaper. They are a dying industry, and I don't like newspaper news rooms anyway. I mean, now I just need to get my foot in the door somewhere since I have the education down.
