So last night, I was itching sooooo badly. I mean, I have been having a lot of itching spells lately because my skin is stretched and stuff, but I wanted to scrape my skin off I was itching so badly last night. I took a benadryl at 8, and usually those knock me out. No dice. I itched right through it. At midnight, I took another one. I was still up until 1, but man I feel fucking fantastic right now. I fell asleep on the floor in the hallway because I was squirming so much that I didn't want to keep Shane up since he has work. We usually fall asleep with music on too. At 3:30, I wake up and hear cheering and clapping and am like "WHAT THE SHIT???" I was like flipping out and stuff. It took me a bit to realize it was the music. Then at 4:30, Shane woke up and went looking for me. He helped me back into bed, but only after I fell over. I am dizzy and I feel like my arms weigh 100 lbs. This shit is awesome. The package said I could take 2, but I guess that was too much for me. I'm so out of it that I feel like I am drunk or something. When I get up to go to the bathroom, I fall all over the place. It's kinda fun. I'm sleepy though and now I'm wide awake again

QUOTE Benadryl is in the FDA pregnancy category B. This means that it is not expected to be harmful to an unborn baby. Do not take Benadryl without first talking to your doctor if you are pregnant. Infants are especially sensitive to the effects of antihistamines, and side effects could occur in a breast-feeding baby. Do not take Benadryl without first talking to your doctor if you are nursing a baby. If you are over 60 years of age, you may be more likely to experience side effects from Benadryl. You may require a lower dose of Benadryl. Did you talk to your doctor! -------------------- Spam? Isn't that something poor people eat?

I won't be breastfeeding either so that's not a concern. Why not, if you don't mind me asking? -------------------- |

Why not, if you don't mind me asking? That's just not something I am ready for. I know the health benefits of breastfeeding, but my brother and I were both bottle fed and are fine. My friend bottle fed both of her kids, and they are fine. I want to work when we move to Savannah. Breastfeeding with all the pumping and whatnot would just be too much of an inconvenience if I am working. I would rather just start him on the bottle and not have to worry about transitioning when I find a job. Secondly, bottle feedings last longer than breast feedings. Breast feeding is like a full-time job. You have to CONSTANTLY feed them because the milk is so light that it passes right through them. Formula is thicker and sits on their stomach longer. The most important reason for me, though, is that feeding time is such an intimate time with the baby. I want my husband to be able to be a big part of that. I don't want to be the only one that can have that time with the baby. Also, I have like super sensitive nipples, and I think that would just be too weird for me. The way I see it is breastfeeding is a personal choice. If you aren't comfortable with it, the baby will sense that and feeding time will not be enjoyable. I know I am not ready for that. There is no point in testing waters when I know it will just be uncomfortable for both me and baby. Yeah, I would save money because I wouldn't have to buy formula; yeah, the nipple is better for a baby's palate; yeah, the baby gains certain immunities through breast milk... but in the end, I feel that bottle feeding is best this time around. Who knows... maybe I will change my mind the next time around. By the way, I read a lot. I don't know if you can tell or not, but I researched the hell out of bottle feeding vs. breast feeding. |

With all that boobage, she better put those things to good use when she has kids. Remember, they only get bigger during pregnancy also.
That's the biggest perk of being pregnant (besides the wonderful baby, of course)... BIGGER BOOBS. It rocks. |

Yeah, don't remind me. The only reason I haven't already gotten a breast reduction is because I plan to breastfeed. Are there risks that would make it to where you couldn't? Because if not, everything I have read says it doesn't make a difference the size of the breast, there will still be enough milk for the baby.

Because if not, everything I have read says it doesn't make a difference the size of the breast, there will still be enough milk for the baby. Size of the breast doesn't normally matter, but the mammary glands are usually damaged (at least somewhat) during surgery. Some women can still breastfeed afterwards, but many can't. -------------------- |

O.k. so I don't want to be a hypochondriac, but I think I found out why I am itching so incredibly much in the evening.
I think it's something called Cholestasis of pregnancy http://www.americanpregnancy.org/pregnancy...spregnancy.html I don't see the doctor until Thursday, but I am going to ask about it. In the meantime, I am going to adjust my diet to this: http://www.gallbladderattack.com/gallbladd...gallbladderdiet and see if that helps. I mean, I have all the symptoms, and I was even having severe gallbladder pain last night when the itching first started. Either way, it couldn't hurt to stick to this diet for a few weeks until the baby is born. It sounds pretty scary that I could have a stillbirth if I am not careful. I just want to be on the safe side. |
