Moreover, there is substantial scientific evidence that increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide produce many beneficial effects upon the natural plant and animal environments of the earth.†So either way, the root of all our problems is STILL overpopulation, and we're going to defer money from the space program to pay for a bunch of horse shit environmental whackos companies can make tofu-powered tricycles so they can all feel wonderful. i think making some conservative changes here on earth is a lot cheaper, easier and faster than developing and building the technology to sustain life on another planet, wacko

I think we need a good planet to goto first. Seriously I am skeptical about CO2 and the global warming thing, but we do put lots of crap in our enviroment.

Good job, whacko  It's a shame you people can't realize that technology developed to sustain life in even harsher environments than here on earth will eventually propagate into usable technology HERE on earth to make life berter. Where the hell do you think the integrated circuit came from? Where do you think hydrogen fuel calls came from? I saw a commercial for Fuel Cell Vehicles from Honda. I know water vapor absorbs IR energy at different wavelengths than C02, but at a lot more wavelenghts. I wonder if we all drove fuel cell cars, would we be causing more greenhouse gasses or would the extra emissions just saturate and cause more rain? This is an honest question for somebody like Eric.
