Yeah, you know "most" people in lubbock's opinion don't you? Just like this stupid bitch goes and makes a bush hate speech, and nobody sparks an argument so she assumes the whole city hates bush. How many people who like president bush that live in lubbock would go watch some stupid bitch from the WSJ make a speech? no i dont but contrary to what you said about me i have a bit more experience with this city than knowing "a few hundred tech kids" -------------------- Little monkeys making money

abilene is kind of weird.
you can buy liquor anywhere, but you cannot smoke in any restaurant or bar. the bars all close at midnight, except on saturday, when they are open until one. there are a lot of churches, but only one gun range. they also have a lot of programs like noah project, etc. that seem fairly socially liberal. that being said, having lived in both abilene and lubbock for a large amount of time, i cannot really distinguish one as being more conservative than the other. i think abilene may lean towards the religious type conservatives (not REAL conservatives) and lubbock may be populated with those more concerned with small business and farmers rights etc. furthermore, i do not really consider lubbock as the bedrock of conservativism. it is a large mostly conservative city, yes, but there is a fairly diverse population. for example, in lubbock county, about 22,000 people voted in the republican primary and about 23,500 people voted in the democratic primary. http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/primaries/results/state/#TX i think for a real grasp of extreme conservatives, you should probably go to those counties that have very few or no democratic primary voters. and cathryn has a penis, a big one and it is half black. |

I think the reporter was speaking in generalizations. Anyone not familiar with the area would be able to look up Lubbock on a map and see that its in the middle of west Texas, I.e. The bible belt.
Of course impala has to come in here and start bitching about some stupid shit, as if he has his finger on the pulse of conservative America or something. Fuck, the only thing that Fatty McGee has his fat fingers on is another ham sandwitch or meatlovers pizza. I don't have any opinions about the people who live in Texas because I'm constantly surrounded by all kinds of people and we don't talk politics. But it is my opinion that everyone in this thread has made rational statements or posted facts, and impala has done nothing but troll. -------------------- FUCK YOU

Of course impala has to come in here and start bitching about some stupid shit, as if he has his finger on the pulse of conservative America or something. And that's not exactly what this reporter did? Except I lived in lubbock for nearly 10 years, and she came to lubbock to give a Bush hate speech, then based her findings of lubbock opinion of bush on the people she talked to at that speech? You don't find anything wrong with that? So yes, I would definitely say I "have my finger on the pulse" of lubbock more than this woman would. Fuck, the only thing that Fatty McGee has his fat fingers on is another ham sandwitch or meatlovers pizza. Like I've said time and again with various others on here, you really show your lack of ability to debate the topic or contribute anything of any intelligence when you resort to this kind of 4th grade personal insult. impala has done nothing but troll. Ironic that you should say that considering the sentence I just quoted. |

That's hypocritical considering you and your butt buddy oasis resorted to jewish slurs in your precious car thread you fat sack of shit, but hey, I've spent the majority of my life in Houston, so I must know more about them than you. So I say that the majority of houstonians think that you're a worthless human being and you should probably just jump off a cliff. You're a troll using the same underhanded debate tactics used by rush and oriley, so I'm going to troll your ass in every thread until a mod tells me to stop, but until that time you should know that you are a fatass who needs to get on a treadmill. Yeah I agree with Jared. Abilene has the most churches per square mile in the United States
However i favor the mentality of Abilene over the mentality of Lubbock. This post has been edited by The Fanatic: Apr 28 2008, 12:41 PM -------------------- A psychotic world we live in. The madmen are in power. How long have we known this? Faced this? And--how many of us do know it? Perhaps if you know you are insane then you are not insane. Or you are becoming sane, finally. Waking up. I suppose only a few are aware of all this. Isolated persons here and there. But the broad masses... what do they think? All these hundreds of thousands in this city, here. Do they imagine that they live in a sane world? Or do they guess, glimpse, the truth...?
