QUOTE Also over the weekend, Iran's hard-line President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was quoted Saturday as saying crude oil prices at $115 a barrel are too low, and that oil must "discover its real value." The Iranian president made the remarks during a visit to an oil and gas exhibition in Tehran late Friday. Time to take over that f'n country. |

I am so sick of gas prices. Fuck Alaska and the environment. Just drill there already. For the love of God... McDonalds french fries are over $2. It costs $10 for two meals at McDonalds! What is this world coming to... and all because of gas prices. UGH. I don't even drive my truck anymore except but once or twice a month to get to my dr's appointments. I'm tired of everything costing out the ass so we can't do shit anymore. I cant remember the last time I went to Austin. Fuck Iran. Fuck Habib Derka Derk Iran President. Fuck OPEC. Fuck inflation. I have never noticed prices rising this fast ever in my life. It's a sign of the apocalypse.

america needs a manhatten project for renewable energy, and no ethanol is not the answer because we need grains for food
if the government would legalize hemp, which has hundreds of uses, grows fast, renewable we could all be running our car on hemp oil, eating hemp breads, etc. hemp would solve the world's energy and food crisis in one, but peoples' ignorance will keep this from happening |

in the ground, duuurrrrrrr, are you really that dumb? hemp grows pretty much anywhere except the desert, and you have about 3-6 harvests a years
farmers growing unprofitable products could switch to growing hemp, hell i'd like to see people grown their own in their back yard to fuel their cars http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hemp |

Well the problem with ethanol is that farmers are putting aside more land for corn instead of their regular food products. How would hemp be any different?

the problem with ethanol is that it creates a corn SHORTAGE, corn is a major food source and also used in a variety of products like high fructose corn syrup which is found in a shitload of foods... despite farmers ramping up corn production they still can't meet the demand for both food + energy
the rising use of ethanol has lead to corn shortages in third world countries and part of the reason for the major food crisis going on in 31 countries at the moment we don't need to use our primary food sources for energy so why not use hemp? solves the problem, save the corn for food anyways the introduction of hemp would create a whole new industry and generation of farmers, i myself would give up my job and start a hemp farming company to cash in |

hey instead of complaining about fuel prices and wanting to dig up alaska why dont we as a society choose to live more efficiently! that seems a lot easier I'm trying! I'm ridding myself of my gas guzzler. But when staples like bread are expensive, it still makes it hard. I spent almost $3 on a loaf of plain jane wheat bread the other day.

hey instead of complaining about fuel prices and wanting to dig up alaska why dont we as a society choose to live more efficiently! that seems a lot easier exactly, at some point humans are going to have to move from a consumerist society to post-consumerist society what will that be like? i think people will be living more in harmony with the earth and live in smaller self-sufficient villages instead of large cities |
