I'm thinking about seeing if there are any jobs I can get over the summer that would be programming related. I could probably get a good job as a web programmer using PHP, but I know enough PHP to know that I hate it. Any advice? (yeah, I know if I wanted an internship I should have started applying a LONG time ago)

You want a job doing PHP even though you hate it?

I know of a few places that will hire depending on your skills. Are you wanting to stay in Lubbock or wanting to go somewhere for the summer? Post your resume.

No. I don't want to do PHP.

I know python and C#, as well as C and C++ (but I don't know those as well as python or C#). I'd really like to get a job involving some python coding, but that doesn't seem to be as marketable a skill as the others.

I'll post my resume when I get home, but basically, it's a mix of technical support jobs as well as computer sales for CompUSA and Circuit City.

And lastly, I'd like to stay in Lubbock.

Thanks. I'll keep that in mind during my job search.

no prob

your best bet is to find a prof in a lab that needs something coded up, i had a job in the industrial engineering lab working with java my senior year

you won't be able to find any programming jobs in lubbock because lubbock is a shithole... the one software company i know of in lubbock (incode or some bullshit) only hires LCU grads because they hate Tech

There are three or four decent sized software companies in Lubbock.
