i took a lesson from the ancient spice trade and have a huge stockpile of spices for a bartering tool... when the system breaks down and people are eating bland food they will want something to make it taste better

ak-47 registered to a former address in a different town that no one i am associated with lives at anymore, 1 SIG .40 caliber hand gun. tactical gear to carry all equipment easily. ammunition , 1 week dried and vacuum sealed food (still making more, just got the food dehydrator,) i figure that mobility is more the option against government opposition, so i couldn't carry 6 months food/water anyway. cold weather gear, about 15 years of training to live outdoors (father was my den leader all the way till right before i would have got my eagle scout) combined with other ventures and survival training i have self taught. level 3 CPR training. tactical entry training. all of the other equipment that i haven't listed is centered around me being self sufficient. most of it doesn't require batteries.

other than my own personal gear, i stockpile surplus for other people too. i have enough extra equipment (exception of firearms) to adequately arm about 4 other individuals.

my greatest asset that i have gathered though is a small group of people who i completely trust who are prepared mentally and physically just like me for such an event, who know first thing to seek each other out. their abilities make up for my own weaknesses tactically and mentally, and vise versa with them.

when wall street finally crashes and the dollar is worth next to nothing the majority of people will be screwed... except for that small amount of people who stocked up on precious tangible metals
