Spec - my g/f would go, and she's a cool chick. Maybe some female coworkers i know might be up for it. I'm looking for a date in May, so maybe May 23-25th? Its a weekend. Options: (My favorites) Enchanted Rock - beautiful, decent hiking, near Fredricksburg, and clean Inks lake - VERY pretty, lots of water to play in, easy going campsites, an hour or less from Austin, also very close to Longhorn Cavern. I would also bring my dogs, one pointer/spaniel mix weighing around 55 lbs, and a 65lb choco lab Pinned. And if I'm available, then a weekend in May sounds great. It's a bit too early though for me to know 100% if I'll be free of not. QUOTE and yea, this would be a good chance for me and zach to bust out with the minimum amount of gear required.... last time we packed for comfort, this time we go all hardcore on it. Fuck yeah. And the May time frame means I would have both birthday money AND stimulus refund money. So that means we could get those mega-awesome tents, Brandon! All compact and hardcore. But yes, minimalist camping all the way. Vest, butt-pack, backpack. All my essentials crammed in there. Guess I'll need to fix up my Jeep by then as well so we could carpool. I could do a weekend in May.
I could probably talk my boyfriend into it, maybe a couple we're friends with too. Need to head up to Waco and nab any camping stuff my mom will let me scavenge... I have a sleeping bag, but that's about it. -------------------- |

I don't think he was being a dick, and I thought it was quite funny.
But on track, Enchanted Rock is the shit. There is a cave on top, lots of climbing and hiking. Right outside of Fredericksburg and near Kerrville and Center Point, so the Guadalupe is near. -------------------- Southern Rock, beer and bears!
