i never saw this in time but thought i'd comment anyway.
i've been to both Portugal and Ireland, and even though Greece is way high on my list of places to visit, i'd much rather spend more than 2 days there..too much stuff to see! i'd say Portugal since it's pretty small and you could just stay in Lisbon both days. there's just enough to see, and the atmoshere is great. i've also been to Gibraltar and Morocco. If you had the option, Gib would be a great place for a couple days. that's all you need there. it's expensive since it's part of the UK and on the pound, and it's tiny as hell. it's freakin badass though, and there's nowhere else in the world like it. if you ever go to HK, make sure you set aside at least 1-2 days for Macau (gambling center of the world!) -------------------- ![]() |

Lucerne, Switzerland. Heaven on Earth Switzerland is pretty when there are no tourists and I prefer Davos to Lucerne. Other than that, I don't like the Swiss. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

i guess buying last minute saves money on international travel? i cant travel anywhere until late summer It depends really on loads. IAH-Tokyo is a business heavy route so the front cabin (Business) is usually sold out while the coach class is usually at halfload this early in the year. As the travel dates get closer the airlines try to recoup the minimal losses in the rear cabin (remember, Business tickets go for around $9-15k to Tokyo) so they drop the fares. -------------------- "There is a level of cowardice lower than that of the conformist: that of the fashionable non-conformist." |

has anyone really thought about how FUCKING insane this thread is.
I mean between everyone on the boards, we have probably gone to around 100 countries. And now we're talking about going on a two-day destination somewhere thousands of miles away ?!?! What other generation can say that they could do this. I mean the only reason my grandfather got away from his job when he was my age was to go to Hawaii for WWII. We live in a very exciting time... \rant -------------------- ![]() |
