Yep, men. Women are generally more emotional. I definitely fall on the more logical side of the spectrum -- probably part of the reason I don't have many female friends. |

So Obama won a Nobel Peace Prize. Thoughts? I like Obama, but I think this prize was awarded prematurely. It would be more meaningful if Obama had actually gotten some peace-inspiring accomplishments under his belt, rather than just the hope of such. |

... is pretty interesting, but stressful too!  I'm in ME, but I'm learning a lot about circuits this semester. I'm taking a graduate mechatronics course and TA'ing the undergrad mechatronics lab, so I'm finally learning circuit design (hip hip hooray!). Also learning about bond graphs (something I NEVER heard about at Tech) and energy methods for modeling physical systems across energy domains. Research-wise, I'm working on design & control of off-shore wind turbines. Neat stuff.  What is everyone else up to, whether school or work or personal projects? |

Adopted a new bird. 4-year-old rescue bird, a blue crown conure named Coco. Got him/her off to the vet and all checked out today. Labwork won't be back for a few days (probably early next week), but he looks to be in good condition. Gender DNA results likely won't be back for a couple of weeks. I don't usually like okra, but we've been getting it in our CSA box and they included that Indian okra recipe. Simple and very tasty, though I over-salted it a bit. Have you had raw asparagus? |
