I thought we were friends, yo. I mostly only come on here to ask questions about how other people can fix my problems, so it's forgivable. |

http://s220.photobucket.com/albums/dd219/b...nt=IMG_4316.jpg I left it big so it would be easier to work with. Resize if necessary. Would like to get rid of the crap in the bottom left corner, and clean up the glow eye, if possible. And yes, that is my cat. |

The wording is vague. Were they fighting over a parking spot, as in who gets to park there? Or were they fighting over a parking spot, as in standing in the lot, towering over parking spots? The way I read it made me think the latter. If they are there to pick their kids up from school, then parking lot spaces are first come, first served, no? |

I think something can taste cold in the sense of freezerburn. You ever let something sit for too long in the very back and then cook it and eat it but it still tastes like that frosty smell you get when you first open the freezer door? I suppose that would technically be tasting a chemical that is produced by the reaction of the food and ice (or maybe freon or other refrig coolant?) but to me, it's a taste I would associate with being in the freezer, and therefore being cold. |

At least I know the difference between a kicker and a wide receiver Get over yourself already. I'd just had a conversation with Jason about how Danny, who's progress I'd been watching, had been excused from the Cowboys. Big fucking deal. I fixed it, and Impala, who the post was intended for, understood what I meant and let it go. |

Just finished reading Waiter Rant. Really good book. If you've ever worked in food, you'll appreciate the stories about sucky customers who leave bad tips. If you've never worked in food, you'll learn a thing or two about appropriate behavior in a restaurant. Good, quick, easy read. |

Is there a site you can go to where you can post photos that you've taken and people can buy them from you? I want a couple pictures of the Tech campus, but I don't really want to shell out $50+ apiece. Plus, I've got a few that I've taken that someone might want to buy |

Were you at the game? I wasn't there so I probably didn't see the big picture, but sounded like special teams did pretty awesome. Didn't they get a couple of good returns, as well as a blocked FG attempt? Yeah, a blocked field EWU field goal. Also missed two of our own FG attempts, as well as an extra point. The announcers commented on how some of the FG/extra point kicks barely made it over the heads of the players, making it easy to see how we missed so many. Here's my question: was it a surprise that Trlica would be leaving after last season? That he would be graduating and not coming back to suit up this fall? That's what it seems like to me, because they had a whole year (if not more) to prep this kicker, and he turned out to be crap. I know some of it could be attributed to nerves as it's his first live game scenario, but it just seems like two weeks ago they went "oh yeah, guess we better find a kicker" |

Sure... buy at bestbuy if you want to pay a significant amount of money MORE for the exact same product elsewhere. example: bfg 9800gx2: $649.99 at best buy. SAME ONE: $424.99 (after $45 rebate) at newegg. Same way with every other card you would ever get. Don't get anything from best buy, especially computer related... newegg does returns too. So get it at BestBuy to make sure you have the one you want, then return it, and buy it cheaper on Newegg. A fusion of two ideas? Inconceivable! And I'm a computer IDIOT!!! |

My sister is getting an unfurnished apartment for her third year at UT. Does anyone have a couch in Austin that she could buy/have? We have one here for her but would have to haul it down - if someone has one they don't need, that would be better. |

God, The Heritage was a dump. I dated a guy who lived there....that place should be bulldozed. What was his name? A friend of mine (he's a mo, that's why I ask) used to live there. I don't remember offhand any crap that I heard about, but he's hardly ever home anyway. We lived at Waterford for two years, right on 4th across from United. Though not the most attractive exterior, we never had a problem with security whatsoever. Though they have the option if you buy a landline to hook it up to these buttons in ever room where if you push it, the police automatically get called. My best piece of advice is to request an apartment that's not right on the road. I would think thieves would be deterred at least somewhat if they had to actually traipse around the middle area of the complex, surrounded by lots of buildings and no parking for a quick getaway. |

Oh, and I recently read a book called "America's Cheapest Family Gets You Right on the Money" Very interesting, lots of helpful tips, a good guide to have around for quick reference. Jessica, have you ever heard of the book Baby Bargains? Basically it tells you what off-brand items are actually made by big-name companies for a fraction of the price. |

We live almost an hour from base right now. Any money we save going to the Commissary would go to gas to get there. Go every few months and stock up? It's not ideal for a quick trip on the way home for one meal's worth of supplies, but for things like diapers where you'd be buying in bulk anyway, might be worth it. One of the things that I always do before I leave the house is Google search whatever store I'm going to with the word "coupon" in the search as well. Last week I saved $10 off a $30 purchase at Bed Bath and Beyond and it took no less than 20 seconds to search, click and print. The thing about coupons though is that you have to be careful you're only getting what you normally would have. When I started working in grocery, I was so amazed by how much people saved using coupons, so I bought a few papers and clipped my heart away. However, I came to find out that a lot of stuff I brought home I only bought because I had a coupon for, not because I specifically needed that item. Did you know there are coupon clipping/trading groups out there? And it sucks that you have to pay for the Grocery Game |
